Citibank (NYSE: CPRE) to Host Free On line Event for Small Business’s: The Power of Social Media

k is coming up. Citibank, (NYSE: CPRE) in hopes of reaching out to small businesses throughout the country, is stepping up and offering a free on line event. This event will be for small business owners who are looking for insight and guidance on how they can use social media to drive their sales. Social media is the wave of current and future advertising. Small businesses that are up on how social media can benefit them will lead the way in their field. Everything from name recognition to higher sales to business expansion can be positively impacted by social media.On May 27th this special event “Drive Sales and Word of Mouth Referrals using Social Media” will take place from 6-7pm EDT. The on-line event will feature Brian Solis, a social media expert. Solis’s company FutureWorks is located in the Silicon Valley and this award winning company is well known in the social media business. Solis’s background includes being the co-founder of Social Media Club. His expertise lies in convergence of PR, social media and even traditional media practices. He is globally known as being one of the leaders in the social media movement.
Small business week has been taking place since 1963. This special week is meant to honor small business owners throughout the country. Small businesses are a driving force of the American economy and have a great impact on the economic well being of our country. Over half of American workers are privileged to either own or be employed by a small business. In fact, it is estimated that there are around 27.2 million small businesses in America. When it comes to new jobs, small businesses lead the way to new employment opportunities each year, creating up to 80% of all new jobs. Small businesses help to create competition and are innovative, leading our country into the future.
